Written by John O’Farrell (Mrs. Doubtfire) and directed by Luke Sheppard (& Juliet), Just For One Day recounts the extraordinary story of the 1985 Live Aid concerts, which brought together a global audience in support of famine relief. With music from legendary artists like Queen, U2, David Bowie, Madonna, and more, the musical recreates the unforgettable moments that defined a generation and left a lasting impact on the world.
The West End run will also host a special gala performance on 13 July 2025, marking exactly 40 years since the historic Live Aid concerts in London and Philadelphia. Tickets are already available to book until 10 January 2026, so don’t miss this moving celebration of music, charity, and global unity.
Live Aid wasn’t just a concert; it was a global movement. In keeping with that spirit, 10 percent of all ticket sales from Just For One Day will be donated to the Band Aid Charitable Trust. By attending the show, audiences will be contributing to the ongoing efforts of the charity, continuing the legacy of giving that began with the original concerts.
At the Shaftesbury, we deeply care for the community we serve and collaborate with schools and the borough of Camden to encourage students to consider careers and training in our industry as well as giving back whenever possible.
