Safety Measures

We have been granted the use of Society Of London Theatre & UK Theatre’s ‘See It Safely‘ mark. The mark certifies that we are complying with the latest Government and industry COVID-19 guidelines, to ensure the safety of our staff and audiences.   • Our enhanced cleaning means all surfaces are treated with Nordicchem Antimicrobial coating to reduce viral and bacterial contamination. nordicchem.com/technology/
  • Our ventilation system uses fresh air which it replaces every eight minutes.
  • Sanitiser points are located throughout the building

  1. If you or anyone in your household has tested positive for Covid-19, you should not attend the Theatre. If you have any symptoms of Covid-19, particularly a persistant cough, elevated temperature or loss of sense of taste or smell, you should not attend the Theatre. Please get in touch with the Box Office at boxoffice@shaftesburytheatre.com to exchange your tickets.
  2. Your seat location may be altered to ensure appropriate social distancing. It will be as near as possible to your original seat and in the same price band.

REFUNDS AND EXCHANGES

Your booking will be for a specific date and time. Customers are eligible to exchange their ticket free of charge up to 24 hours prior to the performance. Please contact the Box Office at boxoffice@shaftesburytheatre.com if this applies to you.

Information about your visit for LADY CHATTERLEY'S LOVER (18th and 19th June) and performances of BE MORE CHILL (performances 30th June - 19th July only)

LADY CHATTERLEY’S LOVER will be presented with a reduced audience and social distancing. 

Due to the recent government announcement, BE MORE CHILL will be presented with a socially distanced audience between 30th June and 19th July. If you have booked already, we will be in touch regarding your seating allocation. If you’re yet to book, do so with confidence as we will adjust your seating to allow adequate space.

If you are attending a performance of LADY CHATTERLEY’S LOVER or of BE MORE CHILL from 30th June – 19th July, your booking must be from your bubble or household. Please note the following guidelines which will be in place:

  • All seat rows will be at least one metre apart
  • Each group will be separated by at least one metre from others in your row.
  • All customers will be expected to wear a face covering at all times unless they are eating/drinking items purchased at the Theatre, unless they are medically exempt. If you have a medical exemption to wearing a face covering, please let us know in advance at info@shaftesburytheatre.com
  • All drinks and snacks can only be consumed whilst in your seat.
  • Drinks and snacks will either be delivered to your seats or available from one of our collection points.
  • Please check your temperature before coming to the Theatre.  If it is above 37.8 please do not attend the performance; you will be entitled to exchange your ticket free of charge.
  • Your temperature will be scanned as you enter the Theatre; if it is above 37.8 you will be asked to remain outside of the Theatre and tested again after 20 minutes.  After your second test if your temperature is below 37.8 you will be allowed to enter, if not you will be offered a free exchange of your ticket.
  • When you enter the Theatre please either wash or sanitise your hands.  There are sanitising stations throughout the building and toilets on all levels of the Theatre.  Please sanitise or wash your hands frequently.
  • If you feel ill during the performance please contact a member of our staff who will accompany you to the foyer.

 

Information about your visit for BE MORE CHILL (19th July onwards) or & JULIET

We expect to present BE MORE CHILL (for performances from from 19th July onwards) and & JULIET without physical distancing.

However, we reserve the right to ask our audience and staff to take certain measures to ensure a safer environment for everyone. If it is necessary for you to follow these guidelines, for example to wear a facemask,  you will be informed of this by a pre-show email in the days before your booking.
