Equipped with soundproof walls, which ensure a quiet and undisturbed rehearsing environment, the 1911 Bar presents the perfect space for musical rehearsals or housing larger groups in need of space to workshop. With a capacity of 150 standing, the stylish bar space allows larger groups to rehearse with ample room and complete privacy. Rates start from £150 excl. VAT per hour, with discounts available for bookings +4 hours. As an unique add on, the 1911 Bar also offers multiple AV setups, including large TV screens, speakers and radios mics, and a large projector screen giving a diverse range of rehearsal possibilities.
Perfect for a range of uses, the 1911 Bar is fully accessible with men’s, women’s and accessible bathrooms conveniently located on the same floor.
One of our smaller spaces, the suite features modern bench seating and can be configured as a boardroom making it perfect for script readings with groups of up to 15. The two level layout also makes The Taffner Suite an ideal option for small-scale rehearsals or production days
Similar to the Taffner Suite, the Ray Cooney offers an adequate rehearsal space for a small group of people. The Shaftesbury’s most recently renovated space, the room is named after the eminent playwright and producer Ray Cooney who took on the lease of The Shaftesbury in the 1980s. At an hourly rate of £60 excl. VAT, the Ray Cooney Room is a conveniently located and affordable option for a rehearsal space in Central London for anything from cabaret to comedy.
