Set in the heart of Princes Circus, the West End’s new open space, Shaftesbury Theatre’s new café, Box Office Brew, opens up the culture and history of our Edwardian Theatre to anyone looking for a spot to grab a quick coffee or lunch. Whether you’re exploring London for the first time, coming to the Theatre to see a performance of Mrs. Doubtfire, or just doing your daily commute, Box Office Brew is the perfect place to take a break and soak up some culture.

Coffee with a Purpose

Social and environmental sustainability are the core of Box Office Brew. As members of the Camden Climate Alliance and continued supporters of the Mayor’s Climate Challenge, we recognise the importance of environmental responsibility in today’s world, and have a range of sustainable practices to minimize our carbon footprint.

Locally Sourced Ingredients: all our coffee, drinks and food from UK suppliers, and we aim to reduce our food miles as much as possible. This ensures the freshest produce for you every day, while also reducing our CO2 emissions.

Eco-friendly Packaging: Our coffee cups are 100% recyclable. These sustainable materials mean that we can send less waste to landfills, and turn your old cups into new materials! Wherever possible, we have selected sustainable and eco-friendly suppliers for any items used in the café.

Conscious Coffee: all of our coffee is supplied by Redemption Roasters, who provide professional coffee industry training to prison leavers and people at risk of offending. To date, they have worked in 14 prisons to train over 1500 people and provide work for them in the coffee industry, all while paying their staff four times the standard rate for prison employment.

Energy Consumption: we have invested in energy-efficient heating, lighting and appliances to ensure our energy consumption is limited wherever possible.
